Amen! I ditto what Dad's House says: great post.

I believe more than ever that we can really raise consciousness through blogging. Whether you're writing about how to connect to your child, or about why you're voting for a certain proposition... writing with clarity and truth does make a difference.

Thank you.

My dear L, THANK YOU for your dedication to your writing. I know it is no small feat to accomplish after long days of working and child-rearing and fighting off the terrible guilt that us single mommies carry around with us like scarlet letters. You are an inspiration - funny, honest, wonderful in your love for life and Sami. Thank you for sharing with us.

This is a great post. Blogging really is about being grass roots, no matter what your topic. I loved this that you wrote: Blogging is a public act, a declaration of self and an appreciation of community. I think that declaration of self, mixed with reader feedback, fosters self-awareness, which is key to evolving.

Hi -- thanks for this post. I definitely have had politics on my mind, and not just because of the election... In the last few weeks, I've read The Maternal Is Political and The Price of Motherhood. (I've requested The Motherhood Manifesto from the library.)

I was/am a feminist -- involved in feminist actions, organizations, and jobs, for all of my twenties.

Why haven't I read these books before? I've known about them for a long while.

I think, honestly, that these past few years have been all about growing my heart. And now, now, I feel the fomenting of love and politics, and conscious parenting, happening inside my brain AND heart, and I am waiting, just waiting, to see what I do next.

Blessings,
Stacy
